Default ABS Faults

From ABS Amigo, sporadic Three Amigos, makes me think it is an electrical connection, as opposed to a faulty item. I have done the Option B. I wonder where i could have a bad connection? Any thoughts?

Interestingly, if i leave the ABS amigo plugged in, i never get the Three Amigos. Maybe that is my fix?

Check your ground for the Option B mod.

Default Ground

Is this a solid ground? It is snug.

Generally yes, but loosen it slightly, scratch around a bit to improve the connection and clear any minor, invisible corrosion. Then re-tighten it.

Does the ABS activate when called apon during an event? Do you get the same codes every time, after clearing? I'm thinking you may have a bad ABS unit, if all other options and suggestions have been done or looked at.

Default 1st step you should try..

With any sporadic fault, ABS or otherwise, I would recommend applying Permatex Dielectric grease at the connectors as your first approach. I've solved the intermittent 3 Amigos and a few other fault codes simply by throughly cleaning the connections and using a small amount of Permatex DG. In fact, you should do this to all those connections, especially your emissions sensors near the charcoal canister as these can be especially vulnerable to dirt & debris.

i had the Option B fix fail on my '04 due to a bad ground in the same spot as your photo. the screw hole had become wallowed out and the bolt could not keep a good connection for grounding.

i moved the ground wire to the factory ground point on the fire wall behind bank one. i have had no issues since.

I cleaned, moved the ground. The captive nut was very solid. I will get the permatex for the connectors, is that different from dielectric grease? which I have.

It sounds like the abs sensors on the wheels?
Looks like mostly the right rear is the issue, as opposed last time, it was all corners.
