Default ABS Light Issue

Hey all, I am new here & have looked through the treads.

I own a 2001 Disco 2, with the ABS light on, along with the red warning light. I have taken it to my mechanic and put his diagnostic reader on the vehicle. Initially there were two wheel speed sensor issues, front left, which was cleaned and cleared and the rear left, which needed replacing. It has since been replaced, but the error code won't clear, hence the lights won't clear. With the live data option we checked and can see values from all 4 wheel speed sensors coming in on the unit, so all is there. There are no other error codes on the vehicle.
We also disconnected the battery for a few hours as a last effort to see if the system will clear itself, no luck,
Any advice on what i can check?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts, great forum btw.

First, there is a good chance your mechanic doesn't even have a scanner that can read ABS codes, if he does, call him and get the 3 digit fault numbers and get back to us.
In the mean time stop the work on the trucktill you can get us the fault numbers.

@ Disco Mike, he has the Hawkeye unit, he's not had it long, so there is a slim chance he's not 100% familiar with the unit. That being said, we have used the unit to check the ABS module, shuttle valve, wheel speed sensors, etc. Along with the code the unit tells what the unit is, so its not just a code.
I'll try to get the code, it will be about 6 weeks, thanks for your input.
@Jafir, this is the red light with and exclamation (!), the general warning light / handbrake engaged light. The dif-lock mechanism isn't fitted on my landy
