Head Gasket Seepage (Following Complete Rebuild)
Here's the situation. I had purchased a remanufactured block from Turner Engineering a few months back. I have just noticed that I have a minor coolant leak at what appears to be the front and aft corners of the head to block surface/gasket.
I did notice when I installed the head that it was a bit difficult to get the head to slide onto the block dowels but the head did finally go on with a little force.
Now I did have my heads resurfaced and I’m now wondering if the length of the block dowel could not be allowing my head to fully seal with the couple of thousands shaved off my head on the resurface and possibly a couple of thousands decked on the block causing the head to make contact with the dowel?
I've possed this question to Turner and will let you know response but thought I'd throw it out to see if anyone had a similar issue after a head gasket replacement.
