When I start the truck the ABS light is on . As soon as I start rolling, it goes off and stays off even when I stop the truck the light does not come on. But once I turn the truck off and re-start the engine it appears until I get underway. Is this normal? This is a 96 with 4.0.

 

I "think" its normal from what I have read. Mine does it also...along with every D1 I test drove before I bought this one. I think it should turn off once you reach 5mph.

 

X2. Mine comes on, signaling the system is active, then tests rolling up to 5MPH. If it goes out, you are good.
