Default ABS Line Problem

Here is my dellema, Went to put my abs extensions on, the passenger rear, has the line coming of of the sensor and goes all the way to the front into the fire wall. The original "male" abs line is just sitting there on top of the frame. So it looks like at some point someone put a solid abs line in with no connections and ran it all the way into the fire wall, and bypassed the original line. Is there a way I can just splice the abs ext. in there, by cutting and soddering or but connecting together? Other wise I half to buy a new sensor+line for $145. Then that might not even work because who knows why they abandended the original line, if it's bad or not connected then it wont work. Thanks

The updated ABS sensors are hard wired into the ECU, that is why the old one is just hanging there.
I dont know about splicing it to make it longer, if it is sealed back up so it cant get correded...after all wire is wire.

Do you know if the other one would still be hooked up to the ecu? That way I can get a used sensor with line female end and just plug my abs ext. right in just like the other three sides. Thanks for the info
