Just finished the option b, changed out shuttle valves, rewired, replaced modulator, bled modulator and bled all brakes, took me 1 hour 45 min. Adios tres amigis. Everything went great and thanks to everyone on this forum. If anyone needs help with this fix I live in Rhode Island. Peace!

Default Not Amigos Free

2002 DII and Im trying to get the TC working so I can take the thing offroading this weekend.

The instructions were awesome and everything tested out on the ohm meter but Im still getting the amigos.

So i had the bright idea to check the fuses, after the fact...they're all good.

Then I saw this connector that is free floating near the ABS - can anyone tell me what it is?

Does anyone have ideas on what I should be checking to get rid of the amigos because apparently, it wasn't the SVS failing.

Get the codes read. The auto zone scanner won't read it though. You need the "amigo" reader. Or take it to the dealer and tell them you want the codes read.

that is a plug for an ABS sensor, but before you say Hey I found the problem.
it may not be your problem, the original sensors plugged in like that, the new replacements get wired all the way back to the cpu. So it is common to leave the old wire were it is. I had the same problem, found that wire, and was happy as hell that it was going to be an easy fix, wrong.

drowssap what was your fix?

I never did any work to the ABS before - are you saying a previous owner could have replaced it with the "new" type connection and just not removed the existing wire?

in any case - what/where would the part in my picture plug into?

that is my guess,

again "guessing" it went to one of the front wheel sensor.

the original sensors had a two piece cable with a plug,
the replacement cable on one piece which goes from the wheel to the ecu.

I have none nothing with mine as it does not effect anything, I tried grounding it, covering it to insulate it neither made difference on my truck.
it still sitting there tucked away under the hood.

if you find out differently please let me know.

I did the option "b" repair and it cleared up my lights. before I went for the compleat repair I cut the yellow/green wire and put a 3k resistor in series with ground to make sure the three friends went away. also I used a dvm to check the yellow/green wire going into the modulator to see if it was showing open and it was.
