Hi thereI am thinking of purchasing the abs modulator valve kit for 769 from atlantic british. I have already tried the small valve kit for 90 $ and it did not work. Does anyone have some instruction on installing this larger Kit apparently Land rover told me if i put in a Rebuild Modulator for the some price i would end up with the same 3 amigo problem . They say the new rebuld kit has the newer software that will eliminate the existing problem. ANy advice, pix, and intruction would be helpful. ALso do i need to bleed the Modulator or have it hooked up to a scanner on the start upthank you for whatever help you can give

 

If you buy a old unit, yes, there is a possibility of it also failing, but they don't all fail. I think they were not necessarily telling you the truth, you should have been told it is a roll of the dice.
My D2 is 10 years old and it hasn't failed nor have alot of others. If you want to install a used unit and the price is right, it is at least worth looking at.
