abs sensor wire chafing front left

abs sensor wire chafing front left
2000 discovery 2 v8
3 amigos issues, traced to a bad abs sensor wire front left.
upon removal, found that the wire was worn thru about 3-4 inches from the sensor, rubbing against the hub assembly/caliper bracket area.
this is 2nd time i went in there all chafing was in same place, but not like i can reroute the wire, it goes through a squirrel hole in the hub right before the sensor hole.
i wrapped the wire in some wrap...just curious if anyone else has this issue?
