Default ABS and TC lights stay on my 2000 Disco II

Factory brakes and rotors were just installed. The sensors are not broken and appear to be fully functional. The brakes work perfectly. What do I need to do to make these lights turn off? Do I need to hook it up to a code reader to reset? Can this only be done at the dealer or can I buy a code reader and do it myself? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How soon after installing the new rotors and pads, did the lights come on? How were you driving when they came on?
Have you checked to make sure the sensors are seated all the way into the holders?
As for the warning lights, yes it takes a dealer's test book or the equivalent to read and clear the codes?
