Did you remove the hood to do the cowl?

Yes, but only slid it back about 6inches.

The job wasn’t difficult at all... the hood was probably the easiest part.

Default Update:

The AC is better but not 100 percent.

i have constant cool air and doesn’t fluctuate.
so the new Freon helped.

BUT I still have poor max forced air pressure from the vents.

Anyone really think it’s my evaporator?

Vote 2 for not evaporator. As a test, switch the a.c. off and see if the blower speed improves. If more air comes from vents with a.c. off, evaporator might be clogged on the outside, but that can be cleaned.

Would I have to remove the dash to clean it?

Before you go digging into your center console, I would remove your blower motor and bench test it to see how hard it's blowing. Even if it's clean, it could still be on the way out.
