Default Accel 8mm universal wire set?

I was wondering if an accel 8mm universal wire set that you cut and crimp yourself would work well on this truck. It worked very well on my BMW, and seeing as this is an old GM design the wireset will fit well considering I will be cutting and crimping them to the exact length of the factory wires.

Not bad! they are priced about the same as the accels except I don't have to make them myself! I am going to order some. Thanks for the link. I even found some wires for me Euro Spec e23 BMW 745i turbo (which was never sold in the U.S. by BMW), which are extremely hard to find stock, let alone a better aftermarket set. these have a pickup sensor on the #1 wire that is important to the car running right at full boost. I will have to spread this to other forums.

Not even close! I know, a rash statement but in this world, you get what you pay for and until you can get 9 or 10 years run, like I have with my Magnacors.
Time tells all.

They sure are cheap for our application, but not so much for my 85 745i at close to $300 a set for 6 plus the coil wire. Gotta be better than the replacement parts from the local autoparts store. I had great results from the Accel 8mm wires I made and put on my 86 BMW 325. Better power and they look great (I got the blue ones)

Guess I will have to chime back in in 6 years, since I have "only" had mine 3-4yrs (w/out a problem).

I'm going to give them a shot when it is time to change my wires.

I used the Accel's on my D1 and my P38 without issue. They are kind of a pain to make but I do like the fact that I can route it a little different if I want due to added items under the hood.

I have never kept a car for more than 5 years so if they last at least that long that is all that matters to me. Plus I am kind of a every two years replace kind of guy anyways.
