Default ACE Not working: Programming Error

So, the ACE bulb is on and does not seem to be willing to go out. The pump sounds like it is working, I can hear it when I switch on the engine and also it keeps on pumping a little after I switch off the engine. I have tried replacing the transducer on the unit underneath the car since I think its a common failure point. We connected it is to a computer and all we got is 'ace programming error'. Would it be possible that the ace ecm is dead, or dying? We also noticed that for some reason the previous owner had removed the ace fuse altogether.

There is also a slight leak on the unit underneath the car - do not think it is the cause of the issue and I will only try to fix it if I can get the ace working...

any thoughts?

Hi, it would help to know the model, year and mileage also what work has been done on the ACE?

As D2's get older and highish mileage they invariably suffer with ACE problems, hence I excluded ACE from my D2 when new. ACE runs at high pressure and any leaks wherever can cause issues.

my D2 is an early facelift model, not sure about the exact year, I think 2003 since the transfer box does not have the cdl, not even the 'nipple'. it has done 155k miles. Leak as i said is minor, there are only a couple of drops after a night

Interested to hear about this issue. I'm fixing a truck with ACE and somehow the owner is not running it anymore. The pulley was bypassed using a standard pulley and its a 2000 year model. Not sure if 2003 have them. Lights associated with it is lit. Impressive model since it has self leveling and ACE. It has all the oil cooler installed. Seems to be more to fix. lol

I owned a 2000 V8 HSE from new with all the 'bells and whistles' but I had nothing but trouble with ACE and vowed I'd never have the same anti-roll system again. When I bought my new D2 TD5 I specifically omitted the ACE and although it has SLS rear air suspension any roll is controlled by conventional anti sway bars front and back. Admittedly my rear sway bar is far larger diameter than the conventional one.

thanks for the feedback, i see you can actually change the system and buy a conversion kit... although not cheap, might be an easier solution...
