ACE pipes at valve block, must i cut them?
My manual dictates the pipes must be cut off from the valve block on the 2000 disco v8, is this truly necessary?
The pipes seem solid and perhaps my leak stems from a bad o-ring.
trying to remove the pipes to inspect the o-rings but i cant back the pipes off with the two nuts holding the plate to the block removed. The plastic collets are still in-place, unsure if i need to bust those out and replace or convince them to release.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

Morning the problem is that you dealing with a fixed in system with no room to move, the ACE lines are 3/8 pipe, if it I was doing it I would be thinking of cutting the lines away from the block, say 8-12 inch to give yourself room to work and a decent length of pipe to work with, remembering that there is a very real case you may need to replace the complete pipe, but I would be looking to repair the pipe and rejoin using a steel hydraulic compression fitting, and only replacing the completed pipe if it was absolutely needed
