What do you mean by "power scrub" mike? I have tried the engine cleaner as well as rags but i do not like to use any sort of pressure around the motor, i am worried that it will get water into places it should not be or knock something loose.

On a D2, you can power scrub the entire vehicle without any worries about electrical issues. I go to the local do it yourself car wash once a month and clean mine with the cold water rinse, works great and everything is clean so you can keep track of any new oil leaks popping up.

fair enough mike, ill trust you on this one. I just have this little voice in my head that keeps telling me, "no pressure washing under the hood". But i normally do not listen to the voices in my head, so why start now.

It is OK to listen to those voices in your head, just don't answer them back.

Default Leak Found!

Hi,

I'm currently dealing with the same problem. I was able to track mine down a little easier though, a bolt (from who knows where...) fell down and was rubbing against the steel line for the ACE under my oil cooler. I had to remove the rad, engine cooler and gearbox oil cooler to get at it. Now that I've found the source, any suggestions on how to seal it? or is this something where the entire line needs to be replaced?

Thanks,

Replace the line, I don't think you can splice a section, too much pressure.

so some new information. It seems like the leak must be up high, reason that i say this is because after washing the engine compartment it is obvious that the PS fluid is dripping on the serpentine belt because it is being flung onto the hood. I hate trying to find leaks....

How about the pump, could it be leaking?

Any suggestions on tracking down a part number for that line? I've looked through the RAVE manual and couldn't find one.

Thanks,
