Default Active Cornering Enhancement 02 disco II

I have a hole in my hose leaving from the ace pump, can I just plug it, re-fill reservoir and drive home? if resevoir is left empty, will I blow the ace pump?

thanks

Would not want to drive empty. There is an alternate fan belt that can be used to bypass ACE I think and there are posts about it. Depending on hose with hole, might not be able to make a field patch because of pressure.

Go buy a new serpentine belt for your truck, get the one for the truck WITHOUT ACE, install that belt, problem solved.

If this is just a quick fix to get home, depending on how far home is, there is an enunciator light that will show up when your ACE fluid is low enough to impede operation of the system. You could always fill it up every time the light comes on IF you have a slow enough leak. You'll also wind up with hydraulic fluid all over the place that you'll need to clean up. If it's a split in the hose, skip this and go straight to replacing the serp belt.

For a short trip, fill it, pull the ACE fuse and drive till you need to refill the fluid.
