I gotta say this was a sad site for sore eyes. This morning I had my truck towed to the shop to get my high low linkage fixed. Come to find out the towing I added "a now must have" didn't cost me a dime out a pocket today. There was a $4 increase of my premium to add it. Way to go state farm. Now if only my mechanic could be so gracious lol.

 

That is always a sad sight. Luckily it is one I have not personally seen with my disco.

I've seen that site many times, AAA is one of my best friends except when they screw me over.

 

It is also pretty sad when you call your mechanic and he answers the phone by saying your first name, lol

 

Eh, it's worse when you work with your mechanic, and he just kind of smiles when you pull the Disco in. Waiting for money.

 

Lol that's definitely the icing on the cake

 

On our way home from a party, my wife and I got stranded on the side of the Freeway, in the middle of nowhere, at 3am in my Jaguar. A CHP stopped and called towing for me. He warned me they will charge extra due to the time.

The guy shows up and tells me it's $300/hr and the clock started when he received the call; 45 Minutes PRIOR to him arriving at my car. His office was 10 mins away, I figured he stopped for drinks along the way.

It cost me $300 to go 2 exits up and leave it in a Costco parking lot. AND, he only accepted CASH! I was pissed, but also stranded... Luckily, I actually had $300 cash on me that evening, something I would not normally do. (Due to THIEVES, like towing companies)

The next day, my niece arrived with her AAA card and had the car towed to my house 30 mins away for FREE!!!

Needless to say, I now carry towing.
