Hi guys,

New member here. I found a great 04 Disco SE with 64k on it. The exterior and interior are perfect! Took it for about a 30 minute drive, brought it back and started crawling under it to check it out. Found a leak. The dealer took it to a shop with me and turns out that its the head gasket.

My question is, if the owner (on consignment) fixes the problem at a LR Dealer and gets a complete inspection done would you still buy the Disco? It was 12,900, but down to 11,000 before we found the leak.

What are your thoughts?

Yes I would still buy it.
BUT, be warned that the current owner will get the 12 month warranty on the work not you.
Now if the truck were in your name then YOU would get the warranty on the work.
The dealer offers a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on any and all work they perform.
