After one year, I'm finally done
Too many pics to post, so I'll post a link to all the before and after pics
Before
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3002336
After
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3002336/9
Cliff notes
* purchase Disco from a co-worker
* did a top end rebuild
* clean button end
* repaired all four brakes, rotor and pads.
* changed steering box and power steering pump
* re-condition wheels
* gutted the interior to repair a lot of common Disco problems
* headliner, door lock actuators, window regulator, instrument cluster lights
* added a little custom touch to the interior
* minor exterior touch-up
* install rear jump seats
* repair audio subwoofers
* various electrical and mechanical items were replaced
Now the truck is up for sale. Check classification section for price.

Seriously, I have never seen an interior go for horrible to awesome. My headliner is starting to fall down and your Disco inspires me to put up a new one. Now Put some bigger tires on it and get it dirty before you sell it. There's too much time invested for not enough fun had in that Rover.

It's more of a financial responsibility why I have to sell the truck. Over the past year I've learned a lot about this Disco, both figuratively and literally. Put aside the electrical gizmos and it’s a relatively an easy vehicle to work on. It’s a testament of how these trucks were designed to be repaired in the middle of the Safari with basic hand tools.
