I will be moving to the northeast in the near future and was looking at selling my car and buying an SUV. I have always loved the Land Rover Discovery and am looking into buying a used one. I have heard mixed reviews about their reliability and would love to get comments from people in this forum.

1. Is there a Discovery year or years that are more reliable and have less issues than others?
2. What type of issues have Discovery owners experienced? Are they major or mostly minor?
3. Any other pertinent information or tips that you guys might have I would really appreciate.

to me the 1996 is the best year rugged frame and body, easy to repair at home and, not alot of electric gizmos.

most discovery prob are minor unless some soccer mom doesn't know how to care for a vehicle

The best tips I can give you is Stay on top of repairs If you do you wont have many if any probs also The
Discovery is rugged strong sturdy and well bulit just remember nothing comes without flaws. Bentley's have probs too.

Also Abethlen YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH A DISCOVERY.
