Default Aftermarket Bumper(s): do I need to adjust suspension?

I'm thinking of installing an ARB bumper on my '02 DII and I was wondering if I need to account for the extra weight of the bumper? Also, If anyone out there has another suggestion for an aftermarket bumper, I am open to ideas. I don't necessarily need the brush gaurd (and associated weight) that the only ARB that fits an '02 has.

Thanx for your help in advance!

You might be ok with just the bumper. I know when I put the ARB bumper and winch on my 03, I noticed it. I am much happier now that I have a lift.... but that's also because I wanted a lift.

Did you notice a difference in your front end height or drivability?

I think you should go with new medium springs. You don't have to replace the shocks if you don't want to in theory.

If you are still on stock suspension you will likely need stiffer springs. Otherwise you are going to sag some.

I put a ARB on my truck just over a year ago, I still have the stock suspension and my truck still sits level.
The ONLY problem I have is in the snow/rain when I am below half a tank of gas the back of the truck will get alittle squirrely.
But it is ONLY on slick roads and with less than half a tank of gas (less weight in the back) so I just dont let it get below half a tank when it rains.

At 118K, you have a tired suspension that has settled about 1.5" since new.
So depending on the type of wheeling you do, if you want a better ride with more control. nes shocks and coils would be a huge plus.

Yeah. I thought I was nose down. Now I didn't actually measure it before, so I'm not sure how much. Could have been just half an inch, could have been 2.

I measured mine before and after, same height.
