Aftermarket front calipers and discs...
Hi.
Planning to buy aftermarket calipers, seen pictures of the product at the vendor sites and some show single piston, others dual piston. Is that a picture goof or a real choice ?
Which would you recommend from experience ?
Any brand I should stay away from ? Rotors too.

Dual piston is front, single is rear. The ones we sell work quite well, and we rarely get any returned as defective. I think Rock Auto had really cheap Brembo rotors a little while ago, which are quite nice. Stay away from cheap pads, Land Rover pads seem to work quite well.
Thanks. Correct, front is dual.
Is the attached a picture goof from the vendor ?
Seen also Delco calipers for Disco2. Delco brakes have never failed me. Is that a choice to consider ?

Yeah, I read up on a class-action lawsuit against Delco (among other Chinese manufacturers) for making dangerous brake parts. I'd steer clear.
My friend bought a D2 with TerraFirma rotors with Akebono pads and stock calipers works excellently. It certainly stops quicker than mine with rover dealership replacement rotors and pads.
My concern is mostly avoiding the degeneration into pulsation/shaking...
Ordered "ACDelco" calipers, arrived yesterday. They are Lucas brand. Now ACDelco is a refurbisher
?!
Look great, but looks have nothing to do here. Will see how they behave in the future...

What ever you buy, make sure you buy good pads like the Akebono ceramics and do a full 2 quart DOT 4 brake flush.
If you want to improve your stopping power even more and your at or over 100,000 miles, consider replacing all 6 rubber brake hose for much better pedal pressure.
