Default Aftermarket stereo question

FIRST POST
I want to buy an 11 inch touch screen stereo that I found on amazon, which is single din and should fit my 2000 disco II . However, I went on crutchfields website and looked at their single din stereos and they said that some of them would fit and some of them wouldnt so why would some single dins fit and then ither single dins will not? That makes me scared to buy the one off of amazon and risk it not fiiting. ( Its not available on crutchfield ) any help would be great thanks

don't know for sure but it has to do with the Harmon Kardon system using multiple amps I believe.

I think drowssap is right about questioning the hookup. I don't think physically fitting is the issue. As long as they are single din there should be no issues. There is a good amount of space back there. I couldn't see any description of output connections. I would call crutchfield. They are usually pretty knowledgeable and could probably tell you why their site lists them as "not able to fit". You will most likely need a conversion harness if you are planning on using factory amp. If not using the factory amp, plan on running speaker wire from the head unit to under the driver's seat (where the factory amp is), and manually connecting the speakers. If using an aftermarket amp/speakers, plan on rewiring everything.
