Air bag hose fitting is different...
Hi. Bought a new air bag replacement and this thing has an inlet fitting with no thread and no hexagon for a wrench. Has a white plastic bushing in it,
What is the magic now ? They save half a penny with a new style fitting ? And another half a penny by not printing/including instructions with it ?
How to couple it ? If the threadless fitting is removed from the new bag; will the original hose couple a female plastic thread if there is one ?
If they want me to cut/shorten/adapt the hose; will the next airbag replacement fit the modified one if it is a threaded type again ?
What retains the hose from sliding out ?
Guidance, please.

Need some pics to understand what you are saying. Does it not look like this?
If it doesn’t look like that, then you got the wrong part somehow.
And I wouldn’t worry about getting OEM airbags as they are pretty pricey. I found Amazon to have a pair of them for $100, which I think is a smokin deal. I ran one in my last Disco for a lot of miles with zero issues. I have bags i the back of my current driver Disco and I replaced one with a used one with zero issues or leaks.

Yeah the second and 3rd pics look to be the correct ones. I suspect the first is throw away as that fitting is probably pressed in and you can’t push your hose in. You might be able to, but I wouldn’t hood my breath.
Can you not return the one you bought and get the correct one?
When I recently replaced one of mine with a used one, I didn’t have to press in a hose or anything- I just unscrewed what you have pics of above and just used the same nut again.
When I replaced a bag in my last Disco I used the brand new nut and pulled off the old one. I can’t recall exactly how that creates a press fitting for the hose, but it apparently is the correct way.
Per the one you have, you might be able to unscrew the original nut, remove it from the hose, and simply push it in to the one you have, but that seems sketch to me.
