Default air-to-coil conversion

This is related to another post but different, I hope. I bought an '03 Disco SE7 that had the rear air bags replaced with coils. There are no markings on the coils. I'm getting ready to install steel brake lines and need to know if the Disco has been lifted and how much. The manual says the ground clearance is 8+ inches but doesn't say from where on the vehicle the measure should be taken. Does anyone have any info that could help me on this? Much appreciated.

If you have the OEM shocks I doubt it's lifted. It could be with the OEM shocks still but you'd hear a lovely BANG as the shocks wouldn't have enough travel over bumps.

Looked under the rig and there is nothing on the shocks either. Shocks and springs are all black with no printing that I can see. Is there any way to measure from point A to point B?

I'm in the same boat. '99 disco 2, 7 seater. Rear air has been converted to springs. I was wondering if you could measure from center of wheel to top of wheel arch? Anyone with a stock setup mind getting this measurement front and rear?

Measuring on the original springs is pointless for a truly accurate measurement. With age the springs will sag over time and measuring will not be accurate. I installed a TF 2.0 Medium lift on my 02 Kalahari and it actually raised the D2 4inches. Of coarse the when the springs settled that went down to about 3inches, but the original springs had sagged enough that the stock size tires had nearly no clearance left in the fender wells.

If the shocks are black I'm willing to bet they're the OEM shocks with stock length. Normally with OME coils you'll find them paired up with OME shocks of the proper lifted length.
