I agree. My other vehicle has a Bosch MAF also. The only way I have ever found to clean it is with 99% rubbing alcohol with the MAF in a Freezer zip lock baggie and shaking vigorously, this is of course just a temporary fix.
The nice thing about my other car is you are able to convert it to a Hitachi MAF, the Hitachi isn't affected by oil, dirt etc. as the Bosch is.
Any idea if this is a possibility with the Disco'?
When doing it with my other car you actually have to re-map the ECU via the OBDII with certain software, or buy a new ECU programmed for the Hitachi.
