X-Brake
So, anyone fitted an X-Brake yet? Looks very good, and should really help with faster rev etc since the rotating mass drops considerably over the drum. That and apparently they'll actually hold
http://www.x-eng.co.uk/X-BrakeRR.asp it's a replacement for the drum parking brake, the one that weighs some ungodly amount and constantly fills with grunge and oil when the TC output seal leaks.
GBR is their dealer in North America, saw a reference and it looks like an interesting option for when/if the drum goes somehow.
Any idea why seals on Land Rovers really don't seem to last as long as on any other vehicle brand? Even when just used on-road etc.

Thanks for the info, I hadn't seen them before and they do make since. I have been lucky, with all the water, mud and snow I get into and the fact that mine doesn't have a tail shaft seal leaking, it hasn't been an issue for me yet.
Again thanks,
Again thanks,
