Default Air Filter Housing Damaged

A tube on my air filter housing is damaged and worn, just looked and the housing is around 400 bucks, unless I can find that small section alone. Is this an important fix, or is it only really used with an external raised air intake (which this LR does not have)

That’s awesome, thanks saved me a bunch. Will be grabbing that right away.

Just out of curiosity, what is this for? What’s the repositions of continuing to drive without it?

Air inside the engine bay is less dense than outside air, the purpose of the tube is to draw colder outside air through the fender and into the intake. The only downside is the potential for a very small loss of power but nothing will get damaged with the cracked tube.
