Default Air Spring replacement?

Hi guys. I've got an 03 Disco HSE, 64K miles. Just finished replacing two window regulators and it now looks like I still may have some work to do. Yesterday, I parked at the store and noticed a hissing sound coming from the drivers side rear tire. I figured it was coming from the air spring. It did lower a little bit but as soon as I turned the car back on, it inflated it back up. Drove home. Once I pulled into my garage, it was totally lowered. This time, it will not inflate back up when I turn the vehicle on. I haven't pulled the car out to see if it would level itself once it started driving. I'm assuming I will be having to replace this air spring. I may actually just replace both rear ones while I'm at it. Is this a difficult job? I'm not a mechanic by any means but like I found with the window regulators, if you can learn to do some things on your own, you'll save quite a bit than having a shop do it. I've got a good jack, a few stands and tools. I'm willing to give it a shot. I've heard good things about the air springs made by Arnott. I may go with these. Or, I may just say the hell with it and buy a Terra Firma lift and some bigger off road tires.

I just thought of something else. If it's not inflating when the car is on, does that mean my compressor is now out too?

For the pump to work, you must have the hood and all 5 doors closed or the pump will not activate.
Turn on the ignition with your window open and see if you can hear it. Do you have any warning lights on the dash?
Yes, Arnott is the best and must be replaced in sets.

I replaced both my air shocks right after I purchased my D2 and it took maybe 1 hour taking my time and with a beer. My only issue is I didn't get my air lines in tight enough so still had a slight leak that I finally tracked down as being my stupidity.

I used this link as a reference before I did the job as well as the RAVE

Well I'll be damned. Thanks Disco Mike. I didn't know the doors had to be closed. Compressor works just fine. Instead of replacing these air springs with new air springs, I think I'm just going to get a lift and bigger tires. The whole reason I even bought this Disco was to have a little fun in it. I have more questions about that but I'll start a new thread for that. Thank you sir!

you can still keep your air spring and have a lift, which allows you to change approach and departure angles.
