Default air springs to coils

I just converted my Disco II air springs to coils. The self leveling warning light still flashes when I start the truck and goes solid after several minutes. How can I turn the light off? Also, where is the compressor and controller. I need to diconnect them, but don't have a service manual.

Any advice is appreciated.

I don't know if this helps, but I filled my self leveling fluid reservoir... Right next to the power steering fluid reservoir. It made mine go away. I do have the conversion. I also would like to know how to disconnect the compressor and other stuff. Thanks!

What you refilled was the ACE fluid, the SLS air ride or self leveling suspension is air in a rubber bag in place of coil springs.
So you are in fact riding on air, thats why there is a air compressor under the passenger floor.

You need to go to the dealer to have all of those things turned off in the computer.

Yep, to do it right you need to go to the dealer. Mine charges $125 / hr so I just bought a new pump (used ebay) and 2 Arnott bags.

Another option until you can get to the dealer is to plug the compressor back in. It may run all the time, but the lights will go out.

Let us know how you like the ride. I did the same thing, but switched back to the air bags after a few months.
