Air Vents blow hot air even when heat is not on

Any overheating issues? Coolant loss?

Keep in mind that coolant is always circulating through the heater core, even if the temperature is not set to heat the cab. The air vent system operates with trap doors to direct the flow of air, either hot air or cold air depending on your settings. Maybe one of those trap doors are stuck open.

I've never noticed this with my car, but where I live most of the summer I have the a/c running

I guess its normal then. It is hot air coming out of the vents, but the speed coming out is slower than 1. It is probably heat from the engine.
From the other thread:
This seems to solve it, but is that bad that air passageways will be shut? I usually drive without the AC on and crack the window open
From the other thread:
as for the heat... FROM LAND ROVER: If the customer complains of a continuance of hot air from vents after HVAC is turned off: advise customer to set both sides to LOW and wait 10 seconds before turning HVAC off. This will allow blend door motors to shut air passage ways through heater core. Incoming air will be the temperature of outside air.
