Default Airbag Light, Winky Blinky, but, wait... There's more!

Okelee dokelee, here is what's shakin' with my airbag light...

Start the Disco... Airbag light comes on, but only the second "S" in "SRS" gets dimmer and brighter...

After a mile or so, the whole "SRS" light is on full time.

It's been going on since I bought her in August, but, I figured I'd ask you lot.

Read the RAVE manual but, it says I need a "Test Book"

And being a 95, ain't no OBD2 scanner gonna help me out.

Any ideas, questions or sugestions?

Thanks!

You will need either an OBD2 scanner with a OBD1 hook up or a shop with the specific SRS scanner.
Check both front seat belt connectors to make sure they are clean and tight.

Where would I get a Rover OBD1 adapter for an OBD2 scan tool?

You need a OBD2 scanner that is built to handle both. There is a great one for sale on Amazon right now.

The DI's seatbelts do not have the sensors in them that the DII's have.
They just are not that smart, DII's have them for the progressive force airbags type dealo's.

Look on e-bay, you can find a OBDI&II scanner, but odds are your air bag sensors are bust.
The only thing you can do about it is replace them if you still want airbags.
LR says to replace them every 10 years.
Your airbags will NOT go off on their own with bad sensors, and if the sensors are totally defunked then the bags wont go off at all, so dont crash.
