My 03 Disco 2 appears to have a dis functional alarm system. My fob does not light up, replaced the battery, still nothing. I cannot lock the doors with the key(manually). When inside, the locking switch on the dash will lock the two left doors, but not the passenger doors(right side).
I purchased a new fob, and will need to have it programmed and cut, but would like to make sure system is working. Any ideas where to start? Vehicle starts fine with fob key and spare non fob key with no problems.

 

First, you should be able to use your old key blank from your old fob if it is not too warn. I f it is too warn out only have a new key cut using the original key code number that came with your truck when new.
As for only some locks working, you will need to replace those non working door actuators to make all the locks work properly.
