Question Are all wheel bearings and hubs the same ?

Hello.
Can anyone confirm if NOT including the ABS sensor and its wire length, all the wheel hubs are equal and all the bearings are equal; front, rear, left and right ? Being the difference in part numbers TAY100050 and TAY100060 only the length of the wire ?

----> https://www.ebay.com/itm/161780307424
Perhaps only the rears use the o-ring seal... Cannot find the part number for the bearing assemblies alone to check... Have a new bearing, and a good used hub to match.

I have just replaced mine and the only differences in them are the abs wire lengths. All of my "originals" and replacements have the boss for the o-ring, only the fronts had an oring installed.

Thanks. Confirmed. Installed today a 'front' hub+bearing assembly at a rear location, keeping its existing sensor. All fine.

I think the fronts have the longer sensor wire to reach up into the engine compartment. So a Front installed in the rear will work fine, but not a Rear installed in the front without using the longer front sensor wire. If you're sensors are good then you can just reuse them in the new bearing, just make sure you have enough gap between the sensor and tone ring.

I’m about to get new hubs to go with the CVs I’m putting in. I wanted to reuse the existing sensors in there, but wondered how do you check that gap to the tone ring? I read another thread about shims and the like but wasn’t sure. I was planning on doing OEM hubs.

There are shims, I thought I had a picture but can't find it. A set of calipers can be used to get the depth and compare to the sensor. I'm sure there's a spec to the air gap of the sensor to the tone ring but don't believe it to be too critical. You would mostly be concerned about the sensor hitting the ring.

I installed two front hubs with these Ebay ones:

I tried reusing the old ABS sensors on these new hubs and got an ABS low-voltage error reading on my Nanocom. I ended up using the new ABS sensors and the error code went away.

Thanks guys. I’m hoping that since I’m using OEM ones, it won’t be an issue, but in case there is, I’ll have the ones that come with the OEM ones as well.

I’t’s going to be a couple weeks before I get to do it because after a beautiful 80+ degree day, we just got over a foot of snow yesterday. Great.

Without hub, the bearing alone I bought is at ----> https://www.ebay.ca/itm/185069366195...53.m2749.l2649

Lazy mechanic wanted the bearing + hub assembly. A hydraulic press put the new bearing in the perfectly good hub. A third of the price = $100 less. Timken brand.
