Default Alternator Wiring Harness Routing

Does anyone have a picture of the proper, factory, way the wiring harness should be routed from the alternator area down to the starter?

I need to restore the split-loom and route mine properly down the the front of the engine.

Anyone have a pic of what they think is the best way to route the wires, even if it’s not factory?

Thanks for that.

For the section up to the alternator, do you route it front of or behind the oil fill neck?

It routes usually behind the Oil Filler neck then across and over to the Fuse Block under the hood (Brown thick cable in the pic). You should also have a black ground lead connecting near or just above the belt tensioner. The large other cable = starter cable.
