Alternator? Wiring? Something else?

Alternator? Wiring? Something else?
Hello, I was cruising home last night and my disco slowly lost power. Started fine, 2 minutes later my brights started flashing every 10 seconds or so and then my headlights would dim after each flash. The brights stopped flashing and my SM lights turned on and started blinking. My headlights slowly dimmed over the next 30 seconds until they were off completely. Lights inside my disco stayed on but dimmed. I drove it without headlights for the remaining 4 minutes of the drive (8 minute drive total) just to get it to my driveway. The last 2 minutes or so, it seemed pretty limp and wouldn't start rolling from idle. Got it to my house, backed it up, turned it off and tried to start it again. It would even click or attempt to turn on.
I replaced the battery about a month ago and it's been running fine since. I'm thinking it's the alternator but before I purchase one, I wanted to see if there could be a different issue that I'm missing. For the alternator replacement, I was going to go with a lucky8 Unipoint. I'm up to any and all suggestions if there is a better or cheaper option out there.
Thanks for the help!

Grab an Alternator out of a Bosch P38 RR, it’s a 150AMP vs the D2 Bosch 130AMP or Valeo 120AMP. I’ve had great results with Alternators/Starters from Parts Player. New units & zero issues, they usually go for 135-165.00.
You can test the alternator with a meter. Voltage at the battery engine off = 12.1-12.8v & with the engine running it should be 13.1-14.4 range. It could very well just be poor battery connections, or dirty leads on the Alternator.
