Default Aluminium coolant expansion tank

I know Carrs4x4 was making them but they discontinued them. Thy told me lucky 8 will be making them eventually. Does anyone have one of Carr's expansion tanks siting around that they'd part with?

It is too bad CARRS4x4 doesn't make their coolant expansion tanks anymore. They were a waaaaaaaaaaay better quality than the AlliSport ones made here in England that are crazy expensive at £135 - £261 ($181 - $350). The AlliSport ones end up leaking at the welded seems when hot.

I have a 1-1/2 year old Allisport coolant tank. Just lost a bunch of coolant. The shop ran a pressure test. Turns out the Allisport cap is not holding pressure. It is only registering 6 psi instead of 15 psi.

The shop which installed the Allisport tank informed me they have had a number of issues with Allisport quality, e.g., leaking at the sight glass area, leaking radiators, etc.

I recall Abran writing that there were quality control problems with the supplier, or some other supply chain problem. Bummer.

Won't get into details, but get a plastic part. Had I not paid attention to the car, would have learned hard way. I'll leave the thread with that.

That's the problem. Some of the plastic aftermarket coolant expansion tanks are crap also. They split down the seam due to the pressure.
