I got there T and Y pipe. Plus there new designed air filter housing to fender adapter. Plus there door lock pin. They make great stuff.

I talked to them on the phone and it basically came down to not enough orders to justify making it. Makes sense to me.

Looks like Lucky8's aluminum rad expansion tank are made by Ali. They want like $250 or something for it.

Well a generic radiator cap is easier to replace vs the OEM land rover style. No one will have that on a shelf. The idea on my end is to make the vehicle more simple for on the road repairs.

The leaking welds is disappointing. My OEM land rover radiator started leaking after 2 years. Replaced with a nissens model and it's held for now.

Had my carrs4x4 aluminum tank start leaking about 6months after install. The plastic for the view disintegrated. Even though I purchased from AB which I forgot, carrs4x4 replaced with much thicker plastic. It looks great but I haven’t installed due to troubleshooting temp issues a few months ago and the plastic tank makes it much easier to see coolant level.

Allisport makes an aluminum coolant tank. They have a sight glass and come in silver or black. There are no complaints online.

They sell replacements caps on their website ... different colors. Allisport isn't a common brand in the USA. So I highly doubt your shop said this.

I wouldn’t say no complaints. There are many owner complaints about AlliSport lacking in quality on their parts for the past couple of years on quite a few Land Rover forums here in the UK.

They could have if it was a LR specific shop that dealt with the Alisports stuff more commonly.

I recall another member a few years ago mentioning the possibility of switching to a higher quality BMW plastic tank. I'll do some digging and see if I can find it.

If not, wonder how hard it would be to get set up making them...

The BMW coolant tank doesn't have an extra line for the V8's throttle body heater hose. I guess you can "T" it into another coolant hose connection if need be.
A few Disco 2 Td5 owners over here use the BMW coolant tank since it has a coolant level sensor.
