Am I doing the coolant flush right?

Now would be a good time to use some super flush and remove any clogs or deposits.

THEN fill it with green.

Yep vinegar or CLR will work on the build up of scaling of the engine coolant system.

Quick additional question as I'll be doing this tomorrow. Are you running the engine at any point during the flush with water then vinegar/CLR?

Well, yes.

Add all the fluids and then drive the truck for a few days, then drain and add the green stuff. Or flush again depending on what comes out initially
