Default Am I right?

I've noticed a small leak in my ace fluid. I went tracking and tracing and all I found was a small droplet between these two nuts on what I think is a compression fitting running into the back of the valve block. My monkey brain is telling me to tighten the nut, and the leak should go away, but that's plumbing. I'm not as familiar with hydraulics so, am I right in my assumption?

If it is a compression fitting, then tightening can stop the leak. If it is an o-ring fitting, then the o-ring will need to be changed and tightening won't help. Not sure which type of fitting it is.

I will dig into the rave manual and see if it has any information. I know the Ace was redone just before I acquired the truck, and it seems a little different than what I remember from the rave.

This is true, BUT know that when he says “can stop the leak” it means “ it MIGHT stop the leak”. Sometime when a compression fitting leaks, it won’t stop leaking until it is redone completely. Hopefully your leak is the type that will stop with tightening only.

True true. I am going to take the optimistic approach that tightening will fix it. I have tightened the fittings, and I am driving around today and will check later for leaks. The fittings are definitely not stock and what I can determine from lrforum (the Norwegian equivalent of landroverforums) they use compression fittings here more than o-ring fittings.
