What are you trying to understand?

The new O2's will come with directions and the connector to tap into your old wire harness.

What do the instructions say?
I used a universal one on my wifes car, same thing, 4 different colored wires but the instructions were clear as what goes to what.
That was a year ago so I dont remember.

My instructions said, for example, "connect gray wire on the new O2 to the red wire on your old wire harness. Then connect the white wire to the black wire..." etc.
So I did not need to know which color was for what on my old harness.

I just assumed that all universal O2 instructions were that way.

Default o2 wire colors

Maybe this will help, I copied this from the manual.

Each of the heated oxygen sensors have a four pin connector with the following wiring details:
l Sensor signal ground (grey wire – connects to engine management ECM)
l Sensor signal (black wire – connects to engine management ECM)
l Heater drive (white wire – connects to engine management ECM)
l Heater supply (white wire – connects to fuse 2, underbonnet fuse box)

Here's a universal diagram I found, I color coded what LR wire should go to each universal wire.

Wow, that didn't turn out how it looked in my preview screen. I'll try and redo it again.

Better yet, I'll just give you the URL that I got the universal diagram from.
