Default another coolant leak

I was power scubbingthe engine last weekend and noticed some fresh coolant on the rear of the engine pass. side. I do not lose an alarming amount of coolant out of the res., however I have found myself topping it from time to time. Any specific location I should be looking at?

136000mi.

First and most common place to be the culprit, is the intake manifold. But it is very hard to verify, since it is so cramped between the engine and firewall. I had that leak when I bought my Discovery, and was told it was the intake because it is very common. After the fix, it was still leaking !!!! It ended up beingthe head gasket that was leaking at the back of the engine[:@].

Power scrub it again, anduse oil dye to try and pin point the exact area of the leak.

You have a leaking valley pan gasket which will require the intake manifold to be removed.

any good suggestion on loosening the intake maniflod bolts. attempted to replace gasket on intake manifold and stopped short in fear of shearing head of bolts?

also what will be looking for in replacing valley pan gasket?

anything else to be done while I am in there?

You'll have no choice but to replace the valve cover gaskets, since they need to be removed to access the intake bolts.

Now would be the perfect time to change the plug wires.

And while the intake is off, try and see if the head gaskets show signs of leaks at the back. Cause if they do, might as well do them now. No point in doing the intake twice!!!
