Another Crank position sensor thread
Just checked for exhaust leaks... None. Felt the sensor properly "click" into connector, and installed correctly.
I made it half-way home yesterday then towed it the rest. Let it sit over night and it made the 15 minute drive back to my shop the next day. No CEL, or other issues. Today started up fine, although I havent driven it anywhere. Its currently running in the parking lot to see it I can get it to shut off and check if I can get an RPM signal under cranking. Otherwise Ill be checking for voltage out of the fuse box for the fuel pump.
Ultragauge seems to get an RPM reading no problem and it doesnt jump around like its getting a broken or intermittent signal.

Update: Got the truck to shut down... It sat idling no problem, drove it around in the backyard for 2 minutes and it shut off mid-drive. Went to crank it and got no RPM signal. Safe to say its something with the CPS but what do I check now? Try another sensor?
Also the fuse box issue I was talking about mimics the cranks sensor problem, but I don't think it's usually heat related. It's usually just no spark, even after replacing the sensor.
I assume the potential fuse box issue is related to the fuel pump? So if it was a fuse box issue, I would still show RPM during cranking (which I do not)
Going to swap the sensor again today.

No, it was no spark.
I would try squeezing that CPS connector together while someone else cranks the truck and see if you immediatly get that OBDII RPM reading and successful engine start when doing so. My problem was that I had not got that plugged up completely and was doing this EXACT thing after I did replaced my CPS twice! Just a thought...
Ok... so what was the issue with the fuse box? Im still getting no RPM reading from my OBD port if that can prove or rule out the fusebox.
I also unplugged and re-checked checked the connection on the CPS.
