Interestingly no, neither of those indicators are active.

Is it the brake lights on or could it be the rear running lights? I forget what LR calls them.

The solenoid would be a one time thing, unless you choose to replace it.

If you unplugged the switch do you still have lights

Brake lights are on, all three (one left, one top, one right).

Unplugging the brake sensor switch does not turn the brake lights off.

Are you familiar with x,y,z switch? Replied earlier that it's in system. May need replacement but also there is a small adjustment with bolts loosened. May want to loosen and rotate a bit to see if indications/symptoms change. Manual calls out an unnecessary tool.

I am not familiar with it, no, but am good at hunting and replacing stuff. Can you provide a general direction to look and is "X, Y, Z switch" going to come up in the parts search?

Thanks again for your assistance on this.

I believe that the brake light switch just make the ground.
so if the brake lights stay on without the switch plugged in it must be getting ground from another source. But this is Lucas design how knows.
Have you tried pulling the fuse under the dash?

I'll go back through the fuse panel again and report back on that procedure and which fuse pulled resulted in the lights turning off.

I pulled multiple fuses the other day and one did the trick, but can't recall which one it was now.

Oof. Those XYZ switches are not exactly inexpensive. Is there a test procedure one can do on them to see if that is the culprit?
