Default Any Akebono fans here?

I have mainly used Akebono brake pads in the past and have been happy with the results. My rear brakes on my 03 are squeaking like hell. I had them removed when I first got the truck due to squeaking. I applied BG on the pads, used brake anti squeal for the rears, these brakes were new when I got the truck but they didn't bother to dress anything. Anyways 2mos later they start squeaking again. Thinking about using Akebono Ceramic as a replacement, has anyone here used them for your LR? Thanks

The independent mechanic I take my truck to uses nothing but Akebono pads. He seems to be really impressed with him. I haven't tried them but I take my mechanic's recommendations seriously. What kind of rotors are you using? If the rotors are getting worn they could be part of your squealing problem.

The rotors are fine, no damage on them and no lip, I am hoping new pads will address the issue, also with ceramics, the brake dust will not be noticeable. It looks like the rotors are OE.

i have the akebono euro ceramic pads with brembo rotors on the range rover. they're silent and are almost dust free, but they require more effort when cold.

Used them on a saab once, Agree on the cleanliness, but I felt you lost a little stopping power. I'm strange, but like the old organic Mintex pads....My 2c
