Additionally, you're not from the country you're talking about representing. It doesn't make sense to fly a full size flag because your car was built there.

Finally, there's one thing you have to do if you go through with this thing: take the flag down when it even starts to get degraded by being battered about at freeway speeds. I see coal rolling hick trucks out here in Cali where the last third of their flag(stars and stripes, or racist confed) is tatters. That's not respectful to the flag, and is bad form.

Go with a sticker on the sides as previously mentioned, or a metal plate(or 4) on your roof rack. You won't look like a giant tool, and it'll be more respectful to the colors.

P.S. - If you're going to fly a flag, are you going to light it at night?

here's where I ended up mounting my Saltire.


I have a Saltire on pretty much all my toys. I think it stems from my Dad who always wore the Lancashire Rose on his crash helmet.

Meh fly which ever flag you'd like. What about using conduit attached to the rack?
