Default Any hard in an injector cleaner?

My 99 Disco 2 has 59k on it. It seems a little sluggish, any benefit/harm using an injector cleaner?

good thing to do, actually. I throw a can of BG44K in every 10K.

Have you ever changed your plugs and wires? Magnacor 8MM and some Bosch +4's will help.

Check the sticky's at the top for the service and get started on it if it has not been done. It is the 60K service and you are there....

I think most use carb cleaner spray and a wire brush to clean out the throttle body. I put some Lucas UCL in every tank and use Lubra Moly injector cleaner each oil change.

Are you running premium gas?

Use a cleaner that has polyether amine (PEA) such as techron or redline or amsoil. PEA is the only proven cleaner that will actually be effective at the concentrations we use it in. With all the ethanol in gas these days though dirty injectors are usually not an issue.

Default I just got it

I just got the truck, I am not sure what they ran it it before. It looks to have plug wires and plugs replaced. It has had synthetic oil its whole life i am told.

The major service list is something to do whatever your mileage when you get a new truck. Things can "look" good but be bad. This also gives you a good baseline for keeping your service up.

Anything written on the wires?

I agree that as long as you use good gas a injector cleaner is not needed, it wont hurt, but its not needed.
That being said, since you do not know the true history of the truck yes go ahead and use injector cleaner.
Yes clean your throttle body, once a year.

I've use SeaFoam in my Ford Bronco II and just picked up some more today for the Disco. It will remove carbon deposits from the top of the pistons and valves as well as clean your injectors. After using it in my Bronco, I got an additional 40 miles out of a tank of gas. I'm guessing it helped.
