Default Any interest in a running parts vehicle?

I have a 1999 D2 for sale. It's running but needs some love or could be used a good parts vehicle. I had a new windshield installed last year and brand new Land Rover brake calipers, rotors and pads. Last year a new hood release cable and handle was also installed!! The leather is in very good condition. Rear door is rusty but the rest of the body panels are in very good shape. 18" rims

Update: front axel is toast....need this thing gone to a good home.

I live near Montreal.

I'm asking $1000 Offers?

PI

Right, good point dgi07. I'll take some today and upload: will also move it as suggested.

Default Here are some pics.

I can also take pics of the new calipers and rotors if there's interest. I paid $1700 for the brake parts alone from the UK.

Why would you pay 1700 for brake parts... unless replacing literally every part of the system including the lines

No kidding, that's insane. And why exactly is this a parts vehicle if it runs and has a good body?

It's a parts vehicle because I hate it and can't get it off of my driveway fast enough. Let me put it this way, if I owned any dynamite, I would happily park it in a field and watch it explode!

I'll admit that the D2 is a handsome looking truck but I've come to realize that although I've fantasized about being one, I'm no weekend mechanic. I want a truck that just runs every time I turn the key. I had that with an old 92' Nissan Pathfinder and although it wasn't as handsome, it worked all the time, everyday.

One correction, $1700 was labour and parts.

Someone save this truck.

No takers?

Ok, I'm tearing this thing apart. Let me know what you're looking for.

I have a truck full or parts.

Why not just sell it as a running truck? Just offer it on Craigslist.

You're unlikely to get any takers on here just because people are so far apart (international website with international users) and because these trucks are so plentiful. I understand you hate it, for most people that's understandable, but dismantling a perfectly good truck is pointless. Craigslist and the trading post are your best friends. $2100 is a reasonable price and if you're willing to haggle a little then someone will come along and buy it, especially one with a good body.
