Looks like we have some interest in the PineBarrens in South Jersey. If we were to formally plan an event I would be up for it. I heard good things from people who have gone to offroad there but i've never been. We would need some kind of map or a traillead to leaqd us through. I live in Central New Jersey so i can meet whomever aside from my buddy at Land Rover Woodbridge.

Midessa - The Pine Barrens can be googled and it should give you the general location. Let me know if you have questions on directions or accomodations

June 20/21 is possible for me although the 21st is Fathers day and i would just be coming back from a 2 week long vacation...

Looks like we have 5 possibles

Although I don't know the area that well I have been through it many times with a few Jeep heads I know and they do know the area a little better.

I might be interested in going. My only concern is that I have a stock/standard D2 with 18 wheels and side steps installed on the car. Is this trail okay for my Disco?

in the pines most things are easily passable if you don't want to risk attempting trickier stuff. and the main trails to get to each obstacles are nothing worse than a dirt road with bumps.

you may want to remove those side steps anyway though. they have a habit of getting banged up pretty good and it's easily avoided.

Not looking to get too insane as the truck is still stock.

sadly, not really. you have to look hard and you usually have to know people

I live in MA and haven't found much in three years of Rover ownership

My buddy and I will also be going with our running boards on. I probably won't have enough time to remove them. My truck is also sitting on the 18" HSE wheels. I'll just have to avoid a few things.

HAZLETBASSIST - As long we have one versed person of the area we can let the trucks do the rest! Cool with me!

I used to wheel my YJ with a few guys down in Sayerville but never got around to get to the Pines! If it's anything like that "Sayreville Sand" then we should be in for a messy day. Although i think the PineBarrens is pretty muddy?

We should be able to get some great pics of our trucks gettin' dirty!

The pines are VERY muddy, lol. Other than a few spots to crawl around on it's a lot of mud pits and stuff.

This is what most of the trails look like:
