that looks like standard issue stuff. was it JB welded on?

Sounds like operator error to me.

Just got back from Rover and it wasn't me. A piece broke off from the other blade and they had to use some sort of tool to get it out. They didn't charge me (what a huge surprise that was!!!) a dime. In the future make sure you remove the spare tire so that you can pull the wiper arm out far enough from the glass to have plenty of room to work.

so it was lodged in place
