Anybody ever borescope their engine before?
So my engine has an extremely annoying tick after it warms up. Instead of tearing it apart to investigate I was thinking about using a flexible borescope to see if I noticed anything unusual. I'm an AF jet engine mechanic and do this regularly on our engines so I have access to some nice tools. Just wondering if anybody else ever tried it out. I was thinking I could pull the plugs out and look at everything in there, any other suggestions on other ports I could go through? Thanks

i would go one better, pressure test you system over night them check the cylinders for any traces of coolant.
I use mine for a lot of things, well worth the money, i had my heads off so I have had no need to look back in.

I do believe, Offroadfrance, has a scope and likes to look around in there. i could be wrong, but iirc he referenced the use of one. anyway, might ask his preferred point of entry........................on second thought, you might want to word that question, a little differently,
or you might get the "that's what she said" response.
